Aid Groups Facilitators can now register. They must have at least a secondary-level diploma. They must have a good knowledge of essential computer tools: Windows, Internet browsing software, Microsoft Office suite. They must own their computer or smartphone and be able to connect for reporting, training, and uploading videos showcasing the work of the mutual aid groups in the field every week. A Mutual Aid Group facilitator receives a monthly participation incentive of $120 for the first Mutual Aid Group they supervise and $20 for each additional mutual aid group up to a maximum of 10 groups. The number of Mutual Aid Groups depends on the amount of funding received from various donations campaigns.

Description

 

The facilitators will:

  • promote the creation of mutual aid groups in the communal section
  • help unemployed individuals living in the communal section aged 15 to 64 form mutual aid groups 
  • help them register their mutual aid groups on the Reciprocitas website
  • keep a daily report of the work done by each mutual aid group, including the number of hours spent, where the work location, and who were the beneficiaries
  • monitor mutual aid groups work on-site and report weekly on their achievements
  • provide 10 hours of training per week to the members of the mutual aid groups
  • identify local organizations willing to work with the mutual aid groups for the realization of projects of common interest in the communal section and liaise with them
  • report immediately on any changes occurring in the size of the mutual aid groups (e.g., leaving after finding a paid job, moving out of the communal section or to a distant place within the communal section, voluntary separation, dissolution of the group, etc.)
